Reginox Tuscany 1.5 Bowl Undermount Ceramic Sink & Waste Kit - White Glaze
The Reginox Tuscany 1.5 bowl ceramic kitchen sink is part of a growing trend of ceramic undermount kitchen sinks. More commonly, ceramic kitchen sinks are thought of as being found only in traditional and country-style kitchens, but a recent surge in modern designs like the Tuscany has meant that now anyone (whatever their style of kitchen) can enjoy the benefits of owning a ceramic sink.

Undermount sinks are perfect for smaller kitchens because they have no draining board. It also makes the worktop area around the sink easier to clean because there is no lip for food debris to be caught in; it can simply be swept straight into the sink. As with all ceramic kitchen sinks, the Reginox Tuscany is extremely hard-wearing, easy to keep clean, and guaranteed not to fade. Its 1.5 bowl design makes it very practical, especially when used with a pull out kitchen tap like the Vellamo Savu.

  • Right hand small bowl
  • Heat & stain resistant
  • 10 year guarantee

Vellamo Savu Single Lever Mono Pull Out Kitchen Mixer - Chrome
One of the great things about the Vellamo Savu pull out kitchen tap is that it doesn't look like a pull out kitchen tap. We've all seen how bulky they can be, and many stand at over half a metre tall, taking up a lot of space in your kitchen. The Savu looks like any other kitchen tap - stylish, modern and easy to use - but it comes with a handy pull out hose that is perfect for using with a 1.5 bowl kitchen sink like the Reginox Tuscany. The Savu uses the latest ceramic disc technology which ensures that there are no more annoying and costly drips, and it has an easy to use single lever control for the water flow and temperature.

Features:
  • Pull out aerator
  • Chrome finish
  • Ceramic disc technology
  • Minimum 0.5 bar water pressure
  • Swivel spout
  • Lifetime guarantee

Dimensions:
  • Overall height - 336mm
  • Spout exit height - 303mm
  • Projection - 219mm

Please note: All fire-clay ceramic sinks may have a +/- 5mm tolerance on the measurements due to the manufacturing process.

Taps use either a ceramic disc cartridge or a rubber compression washer to control flow. Rubber washers will naturally wear down with use, and the tap handle will require more and more rotations to turn on or off. On the plus side, it's very easy to replace a rubber washer and they're available everywhere.

Ceramic disc cartridges need only a 90-degree rotation to fully open or close, and the 2 ceramic plates are incredibly hard-wearing and resilient. They're more expensive to make, but they allow for a huge range of designs, easy operation and simple maintenance if needed.

Whilst it is rare for a ceramic cartridge to need replacing, you may very occasionally need to remove and rinse the cartridge if grit or debris within the water system is preventing the 2 plates from closing properly. Much like replacing a rubber washer, this is a quick and easy job, and will ensure many years of use.

This tells you how many holes there are on the sink to mount your kitchen tap.

For sinks with a reversible drainer (one that can be on the left or right) the pre-drilled or pre-scored tap holes will be on both sides of the sink.

For sinks with a handed drainer, the pre-drilled or pre-scored tap holes will only be on one side of the sink.

Minimum Water Pressure

Your water pressure depends on your home's water system. It’s important to consider water pressure when buying a new tap or shower. Buying a product with a minimum water pressure that’s too high for your home will result in poor performance.

- With a combi boiler you can usually expect between 1 and 2 bar

- With a gravity system (cold water tank in attic) you may have as little as 0.1 or 0.2 bar upstairs, and perhaps 0.5 bar downstairs

- With a high pressure unvented system (hot water cylinder, no cold water tank) you will generally have between 1 and 3 bar

You can install an item with a low minimum pressure rating on a high pressure system, but avoid installing an item with a high minimum rating on a low pressure system! Read our guide to water pressure to learn more.
