Butler & Rose 1.5 Bowl Ceramic Kitchen Sink with Reversible Drainer
There aren't many sinks as stylish and as versatile as the Butler & Rose ceramic kitchen sink. Equally at home in a modern or traditional kitchen.

Ceramic is a naturally hard-wearing material that is also easy to clean. It doesn't stain or scratch easily, and is also impact resistant. Another benefit of the Butler & Rose ceramic sink is that they are also heat resistant, so pots and pans can be taken straight from the hob or out of the oven and placed on the sink and you don't have to worry about heat damaging the sink.

The sink has two generously sized bowls, the second, smaller bowl is the perfect place to install an environmentally friendly waste disposal unit.

Features:
  • Reversible fitting (drainer can be on the left or right)
  • Strong, non-porous ceramic material
  • High gloss white finish
  • Heat and stain resistant, and easy to clean
  • Partially drilled tap holes
  • 10 year guarantee
  • Please note, waste pipework not included please see recommended extras

Dimensions:
  • Width - 1010mm
  • Depth - 525mm
  • Height - 240mm
  • Minimum cabinet size - 600mm

Please note: An extended flange. is also required when installing a waste disposal unit with this sink, due to the extra thickness of the ceramic material.

Vellamo Savu Single Lever Mono Pull Out Kitchen Mixer
Having a 1.5 bowl kitchen sink already gives you the effect of having two sinks in one, and with a pull out kitchen tap, that effect is only amplified. The Vellamo Savu pull out kitchen tap is unlike most pull out kitchen taps in that on the face of it, it looks like an ordinary kitchen tap, but when required, the hose pulls out to enable you to direct the water anywhere you want it to go.

The Savu has a single lever handle to control the flow and temperature of the water. To make sure that this is a smooth operation and that there are no leaks, the Savu uses the latest ceramic disc technology which ensure a long-lasting and drip-free operation.

Features:
  • Swivel spout with aerator
  • Chrome finish
  • Ceramic disc technology
  • Minimum 0.5 bar water pressure
  • Lifetime guarantee

Dimensions:
  • Overall height - 336mm
  • Spout exit height - 303mm
  • Projection - 219mm

Please note: This fireclay ceramic sink may have a tolerance of +/-3% on the specified measurements. This is due to the manufacturing process. As fireclay ceramic is a natural material, once it has been fired in the kiln it can expand or contract ever so slightly causing slight fluctuations to the measurements stated above and in the spec box. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you wait until you have received your sink and can measure it for templating purposes before making any cuts in your worktop. Taps use either a ceramic disc cartridge or a rubber compression washer to control flow. Rubber washers will naturally wear down with use, and the tap handle will require more and more rotations to turn on or off. On the plus side, it's very easy to replace a rubber washer and they're available everywhere.

Ceramic disc cartridges need only a 90-degree rotation to fully open or close, and the 2 ceramic plates are incredibly hard-wearing and resilient. They're more expensive to make, but they allow for a huge range of designs, easy operation and simple maintenance if needed.

Whilst it is rare for a ceramic cartridge to need replacing, you may very occasionally need to remove and rinse the cartridge if grit or debris within the water system is preventing the 2 plates from closing properly. Much like replacing a rubber washer, this is a quick and easy job, and will ensure many years of use.

This tells you how many holes there are on the sink to mount your kitchen tap.

For sinks with a reversible drainer (one that can be on the left or right) the pre-drilled or pre-scored tap holes will be on both sides of the sink.

For sinks with a handed drainer, the pre-drilled or pre-scored tap holes will only be on one side of the sink.

Ceramic Tolerance

Due to the natural manufacturing process, the true size of our ceramic items may be slightly different from the size listed on our website. Ceramic tolerance is an indication of how much your product could deviate from the size you see on our product page.

When purchasing ceramic products, it’s a good idea to check the ceramic tolerance before installing pipework, and if purchasing a ceramic sink, waiting for it to arrive before cutting a worktop.

Minimum Water Pressure

Your water pressure depends on your home's water system. It’s important to consider water pressure when buying a new tap or shower. Buying a product with a minimum water pressure that’s too high for your home will result in poor performance.

- With a combi boiler you can usually expect between 1 and 2 bar

- With a gravity system (cold water tank in attic) you may have as little as 0.1 or 0.2 bar upstairs, and perhaps 0.5 bar downstairs

- With a high pressure unvented system (hot water cylinder, no cold water tank) you will generally have between 1 and 3 bar

You can install an item with a low minimum pressure rating on a high pressure system, but avoid installing an item with a high minimum rating on a low pressure system! Read our guide to water pressure to learn more.
